In a year, we do not need to travel to Korea for this.
By the way, it is brought in by the same group which introduced Daily Beer to the Singapore market.
Since its inception in 1979, Lotteria has grown into a dominant force in the Korean fast food market.
It now operates over 1,600 outlets across seven countries.
With multiple outlets expected to follow, Lotteria aims to bring its offerings such as the Bulgogi Burger and Shrimp Burger to a wider audience in Singapore.
One of Lotteria’s famous items is the Bulgogi Burger, which has been specifically designed to cater to local Korean tastes.
This burger is a sweeter take on the traditional hamburger, with a savoury yet sugary bulgogi sauce slathered on top of a beef patty.
For anyone new to Korean food culture, it is a gentle way to experience some of the country’s traditional tastes without diving into anything too unfamiliar.
Another of my favourites is their Fried Chicken.
It is typically less greasy compared to some fast food chains, and the coating is crispy, providing a satisfying crunch.
Other popular menu choices include teriyaki burgers, and occasionally rice-based burgers or buns.
However, as there are so many outlets, Lotteria’s overall food quality can be inconsistent. Some online diners have complained about soggy fries and lukewarm burgers, particularly at busier locations.
Fans of Korean fast food can look forward to experiencing the chain’s distinctive menu in Singapore come 2025.
